As IMC, we wrote two books named; “Alican’s Robotics Journey” and “Ela’s Robotics Journey”. In the book called “Alican’s Robotics Journey”, our character, Alican, is a little boy who desires to form a robotics and technology club at his school. With the help he gets from his friends and family, he makes his dream come true. With this book, we wanted to show readers that with the help of your loved ones, anything is possible if you just try hard enough and try to make it happen. In our book called “Ela’s Robotics Journey,” we wanted to touch on gender inequality so we retold the story “Alican’s Robotic Journey”. The reason for this project is that gender inequality is a global issue that women have to face in every part of their lives.

The book describes a first-grader student, Ela. She is interested in robotics and wants to form a robotics club at her school. She tries to get help from her friends and family just like Alican did. The difference between them is since Ela is a girl, people do not let her run for her dreams. They don’t believe in her and tell her to give up. Despite this pressure, she becomes successful in a contest she has competed and proves to people they were wrong. In this book, we have mentioned that gender does not prevent girls from doing studies in the field of robotics or doing anything they like.
